nightfall
you came, perfectly synchronizedwith the falling of leaves
making way for new beauty.
i smiled and let you come in to my dreams
as the breeze of nightfall cooled
the scorching vapor rising from the earth
the earth moved for a blissful moment
without pretensions
just taking its course
the air carried our exchanges
through lines and waves
i was decieved
and then you close the door
left me alone
to face a new day
the scorching sun burns my flesh
for the cool that passed me by
for this deception
you were but a dream, a silly divertion
from the heat of the sun
that is the only thing that gives me life
you are nothing but air
or moonlight waning, fading...
i just thought you'd be better
because you came, as nightfall does
taking charge as the day
threw me into the darkness
you left, perfectly synchronized
with the return of heat
that kills me while giving me life
i smiled, for what you could have been
but still look towards the morning
and the warmth of his embrace.
